Producers of wine in amphora from around the world on 19 and 20 November 2016 to the ancient Furnace Agresti in Impruneta, Tuscany (Italy)

On 19 and 20 November 2016 will take place in Tuscany at the old Fornace Agresti Impruneta (Florence, Italy), the 2nd International Convention “The Terracotta and Wine” dedicated to wine in amphorae promoted by the homonymous cultural association of which he is creator and founding member of the company cotto of Impruneta, Artenova. The Impruneta kiln which he owns Leonardo Parisi has already to his credit the promotion of various initiatives related to wine tastings and conferences on refining in earthenware jars, a practice known as vinification in amphorae.

This is the 2nd International Convention on the use of clay in winemaking since the first in 2014 which is always held in Impruneta (Florence, Italy), at the old Fornace Agresti. With a technical comparison and a high cultural level, producers of wine in amphorae from around the world will exchange experiences and knowledge during a technical conference with the participation of Italian and international names of academics, journalists and winemakers. In the two days of the convention, in addition to the technical conference, there will be guided tastings open to the public, tasting counters, performance and even visits to Artenova furnace.

The main news edition 2016 is the number of the spaces reserved for exhibitors, national and international, that the 29 of the last edition go to 40 and the subsequent growth of the stations tasting on the first and second floor of the Fornace Agresti. The event this year will give room for the first time to the sale / purchase of wines with the possibility for producers to sell their white and red wines aged and fermented in earthenware jars. For this will be set up the appropriate area with wine bar function.
